Our five Learning Spaces
The Cave – a space for private concentration.
Here you can concentrate and enter an introspective process of communication with yourself.
The Lab – fun with experimentation and practical work.
Here you can discover and explore colours, shapes and materials at different workshops and our lab trolleys make our lab flexible.
The Camp Fire – group process.
The group is one of our most important learning situations because learning is a social process. We need spaces for large as well as small groups. The groups don’t have to be in a closed off area but should be a space where the group can focus.
The Watering Hole – a place for encounters and impulses.
A lively space full of activity where you can drop in for a while and then move on.
The Showoff – where you can show off your progress and discoveries.
A stage, a presentation, a drawing on the wall, a film or a blog – all ways of showing off your work.
New world creates new needs
We know we learn in many different ways. We need to meet in larger groups, we need space to be able to concentrate, we need to move about and to work with our hands, voices and bodies. We need to be inspired and communicate with each other and the world around us. The digital environment will promote creative ways of working with different media.
We believe that children should have the same environments for development and learning as Googles CEO. A six year olds learning and ideas are just as important as the department of development at LEGO. This is our starting point in the design team when we fomulate the demands on our childrens learning environment today and tomorrow.
The Design team
Our designers and interior designers at the Danish Agency Rosan Bosch works closely with our design team to support the individual child and support collaborative learning in all different situations. One of Rosan Bosch previous projects is The department of development at LEGO.
The future is here today
We know that we learn in many different ways. We need to get together in larger and smaller groups, we need the space to focus, we need movement and working with our hands, voice and body. We need to be inspired and communicate with each other and the outside world. Our digital environment will support a creative way of working with different mediums.
Schoolyard
Our schoolyard will provide a secure environment to inspire play and movement that will be located along the side facing Preschool Paletten. Our children is active in the design process for our schoolyard.
